With GULP grinding machines, carbide tools (Widia) can be grinded and lapped flat many, many times!

  • The lapping of profiled knives increases productivity by up to 30%.
  • Thanks to the capacities of a powerful permanent magnet, the tools can be easily placed on the worktable to be grinded on the face: no brackets or other special supports are needed.
  • The grinding wheel down stroke is automatic and adjustable from a minimum of mm 0.005 per pass.
  • The grinding head moves its stroke slowly and the grinding wheel works with an efficient cooling system.

PROFILING AND GRINDING (FLAT) Using medium grit diamond grinding wheels it removes large amounts of material, restoring the cutting edge quickly until dimensional tolerances are reached. Tolerance 0.01 roughness 0.10 µ LAPPING AND POLISHING (MIRROR) Using ultra-fine grit diamond grinding wheels (micro-grit) caresses the surface of the carbide up to mirror polish. Roughness 0.05 µ
